Year's End - A Poem
As the sun comes up
As the moon goes down
As the rain stops
All is wet and shining
A gentle breeze whistles in the air
And the stream runs fast.
As the trees rustle
Like people dancing
All is quet - and all is slow
And at the end of the day
As the candle is blown out
And the stars are about
The moon rises, and a ghostly light shines
All is quiet and peaceful again
A leaf falls......
The end of another year

This poem, written by a relative who is now in his 50s, was found in my aunt's papers. She had written it out and was clearly moved by it. I write it here as an example of work by a boy who today thinks that he cannot write. I will not comment. But perhaps you will.
